“I have every fitness gadget you can name, and now I need to use them and start exercising!” They sit under the bed or in the closet, so I don’t have to look at those gadgets I bought and feel guilty for not using them. If this scenario sounds all too familiar to you, then today’s episode is for you.

Quick Tip: The Exercise Gadgets We Buy And Never Use

    Today we specifically talk about:

    • Why you bought the gadget in the first place?
    • What you hoped you would or could achieve?
    • Why, despite all your purchases, nothing happens

Finally, 3 Strategies On How To Start Using Your Home Equipment

Why do Fitness Gadgets Collect Dust?

    1. Overly Ambitious Goals: It’s common to start a fitness journey with high enthusiasm, purchasing all sorts of gadgets in the process. However, setting unrealistic expectations can lead to a quick burnout, and soon, those gadgets end up unused in the closet.

    2. Lack of Relevance: Some fitness gadgets may not align with an individual’s specific needs or lifestyle. For example, a high-intensity workout DVD might be less relevant to a woman who prefers lower-impact exercises like yoga or swimming.

    3. Complexity: Some fitness gadgets can be complicated to use or understand, especially if they involve complex data analysis or require a steep learning curve. This can discourage regular use.

    4. Motivation: Maintaining the motivation to use fitness gadgets consistently can be challenging, especially without a supportive community or accountability partner.

    5. Preference for Simplicity: Many people prefer simple workouts that don’t require the use of gadgets. Walking, yoga, or basic strength training exercises can often be done without any special equipment.

    6. Physical Limitations: Some women over 50 may have health conditions or physical limitations that make certain types of exercise more challenging or uncomfortable, leading to the disuse of related fitness gadgets.
