It’s healthy, nutritious, and satisfying, and it tastes GREAT! I have already tried other products for you; you only have to add water or milk. But they tasted chalky or smelled strange. So, do you want to know how to make your healthy, nutritious Super Shake in just minutes?
As a PN Nutrition coach, I have learned to make the most delicious Super Shake. They will give you energy, are portable, easy to make, and can be done quickly! Benefits Of Making Your Own Shake At Home
Homemade healthy shakes provide numerous benefits for overall wellness. Firstly, they allow you complete control over the ingredients, ensuring the shake is tailored to your dietary needs and preferences. You can incorporate nutrient-dense fruits, vegetables, and proteins to balance vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids.
Secondly, they are an excellent way to incorporate more fiber into your diet, promoting digestive health.
Thirdly, healthy shakes can aid in weight management. They can be tailored to be low in calories yet high in nutrients and serve as a fulfilling meal replacement or snack, helping curb overeating.
Lastly, homemade shakes are cost-effective and environmentally friendly. By making your own shakes, you cut down on the cost of pre-made products and reduce the waste associated with packaged goods.
In sum, healthy homemade shakes offer a convenient, customizable, and nourishing option for those seeking to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
No need to buy special foods or go out and buy ingredients that you NEVER use again. You use the healthy foods already in your house to make it! The price is terrific, too; depending on your ingredients, it will cost you under $2.00 per serving.
My Super Shake does not have much sugar, including quality protein, fresh fruits and vegetables, fiber, and healthy fats! Yes, you can add an Avocado as well. The sky is the limit to adding fresh organic fruits and vegetables to your Super Shake.
How Do You Make A Healthy Super Shake In Minutes?
You start with a liquid, add your protein powder, pick a vegetable and a fruit, and top it off with a healthy fat.
This is my favorite version of the Super Shake:
1 handful of Spinach
1 scoop of Protein Powder
1/2 Banana
1 cup of Almond Milk
1 tablespoon of Ground Flaxseed
1/2 teaspoon of Walnuts
crushed ice and water to your liking
Put it all in a blender (you don’t need anything fancy or expensive), and it’s ready to go.
What Can You Add To Your Healthy Super Shake?
A healthy shake can incorporate a variety of nutritious ingredients. Here are some ideas:
- Protein Sources: Proteins are essential for tissue repair and muscle growth. You can add protein powder (whey, casein, or plant-based options like pea or hemp), Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or tofu.
- Fruits: Fruits add natural sweetness and are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Consider berries, bananas, apples, peaches, mangoes, or pineapples.
- Vegetables: Vegetables increase the nutrient density of your shake. Spinach, kale, cucumber, carrot, or beetroot are excellent choices and often blend well with other ingredients.
- Healthy Fats: Avocado, nuts, seeds (like chia, flax, or hemp seeds), or a spoonful of nut butter can add healthy fats to your shake. These can help keep you feeling satisfied and also contribute to the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
- Liquid: You need a liquid to blend all the ingredients together. This could be milk (dairy or plant-based alternatives like almond, soy, or oat milk), coconut water, or simply regular water.
- Extras: For added health benefits, consider superfoods and supplements such as spirulina, maca powder, matcha powder, acai berries, cacao nibs, turmeric, cinnamon, or probiotics.
Remember, balance is key. It’s essential to include a mix of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and various vitamins and minerals to make a truly healthy shake.
