Dr. Ang Mac spent 22 years in the military, learning a vast amount of skills as she studied and then worked in biomedical science and military medicine. Still, her mother’s role taught her that we have the power to change our thoughts and behavior. Image how freeing it is when you can change your thoughts and behavior to enjoy life.
With an extensive scientific background and a focus on medical research, Dr. Ang Mac is no stranger to physiology or healthcare. However, like most of us, Ang expected to follow the physician’s lead when she entrusted them with the care of her 2-year-old son. She soon found out that she was not made to follow after all.
Change Your Thoughts and Behavior
Ang’s son was born with the genetic mutation, X-linked hypophosphatemia, and required specialist care from numerous departments. Quickly realizing that the lack of interdisciplinary communication meant her son’s care was not helping the way it should, Ang decided that she would have to be the expert.
Her love for her son and determination to provide him with the best possible healthcare led Ang to study Integrative whole-person healthcare to ensure all factors were considered during treatment plans.
She has since retired from the military and built her own consulting company, providing consultation and healthcare services to federal, state, and local healthcare organizations to promote a health system that encourages departmental communication and consideration of the whole body’s health.
Her journey, and that of her son, has shown Ang that no matter what physical, mental, or emotional state you are currently living in, you CAN change your thought patterns and create new habits and positive behaviors that promote a healthier, happier life.
